The French best selling novel The Gospel According to Jimmy is to be adapted to the big screen with Alexandre Aja on board to direct. Aja’s last movie was the remake of Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes.

The novel which is set sometime in the near future follows Jimmy, a pool cleaner who finds out he is a clone of Jesus Christ. Although the novel is French, the movie is to be shot in English language.

Sounds like it could be fun but we might have to wait a while until we get to see it. Aja will first have to finish work on another horror remake Into the Mirror (based on a korean horror) and is also attached to direct The Waiting.

Dianna Agron, best known for her cheerleader roles on "Glee" and "Heroes," has joined the cast of I Am Number Four to play a… cheerleader. In the DJ Caruso-directed film, Agron will dump her jock boyfriend to cozy up to alien refugee Alex Pettyfer. Also on board are Sharlto Copley as Pettyfer’s guardian and Teresa Palmer as Number Six.

The movie based on a novel co-authored by James Frey, tells the story of nine alien children who escape to Earth after being hunted by a hostile race. There they hide in Middle America where they shift nervously in their seats whenever Syfy shows reruns of "Roswell." (THR)

This spring Dark Shadows will go before the cameras under the direction of Tim Burton. Starring Johnny Depp as Barnabas Collins, the film is a big screen adaptation of the original 1960s series.

Jackie Earle Haley (A Nightmare on Elm Street) is apparently now in talks to join the cast as Willie Loomis, reports Deadline.

Loomis was a pivotal character in the original series; a notorious con-artist who comes to Collinwood bent on swindling the reclusive matriarch Elizabeth Collins Stoddard.

He winds up living in the mansion and concots a plan when he observes a portrait of the late Barnabas Collins, who wore some expensive jewelry. Loomis breaks into the mausoleum and pries open Barnabas' coffin, but is attacked by the vampire and becomes his servant.

Meanwhile, according to sources, Bella Heathcoate is the choice to play Victoria Winters, the young governess of the Collins estate. The actress was in talks for the lead in Snow White and the Huntsman, but that role is now expected to go to Kristen Stewart.
